We envision a thriving community of anglers who share a love for fly fishing, conservation, and Nebraska’s natural beauty.
Cornhusker Fly Fishers strives to inspire new generations to connect with nature, protect our waters, and carry forward the spirit of fly fishing for years to come.
We bring our mission to life through education, conservation, and community.
From teaching new fly fishers to restoring local habitats, Cornhusker Fly Fishers has built a lasting legacy in Nebraska.
We’ve hosted successful fly fishing schools, led conservation projects, organized community events like the Spring Fling, and supported programs such as the Nebraska Trout Slam.
Together, we’re preserving the sport — and the waters we love — for future generations.

You’ll find excellent fly-fishing opportunities nearly everywhere in Nebraska — from serene lakes and quiet ponds to scenic streams and winding rivers. At CFF meetings, members share up-to-date fishing reports and tips on where the water’s active, both in Nebraska and beyond.
Just about anything that swims — and that’s part of the excitement. Whether it’s bass, bluegill, crappie, carp, catfish, trout, walleye, even gar or pike — you can target them using a fly. Fly fishing isn’t just for trout (though we love them, too!). At CFF we celebrate the variety and versatility of the sport.
Joining CFF gives you much more than just access to meetings. Benefits include:
Annual dues are $30.00, payable to Cornhusker Fly Fishers, Inc. Your membership covers you plus a spouse and children under age 19. Dues are renewed each calendar year.

At the meeting, you’ll meet CFF members who will walk you through gear basics, demonstrate casting, and help you get comfortable with fly tying. Whether you’ve never held a fly rod or you’re jumping back in after years away, we’ll get you started with confidence.
Joining Cornhusker Fly Fishers is easy! Membership is just $30 per year, which includes your spouse and children under 18.
