Our Fly Fishing Schools are designed to be relaxed, hands-on, and beginner friendly. Whether you're picking up a fly rod for the first time or brushing up on your skills, our volunteer instructors are here to help you succeed.
No experience required.
Our schools are designed specifically for beginners, so don't worry if you've never cast a fly rod before.
No gear? No problem.
We'll provide fly rods, reels, fly tying materials, tools, and other equipment needed during the class.
Learn by doing.
You'll spend the day practicing each skill with guidance from experienced Cornhusker Fly Fishers instructors.
We've got lunch covered.
A lunch break and refreshments are included so you can relax, ask questions, and get to know fellow participants.

Our instructors work closely with participants to provide individual guidance and answer questions throughout the day.

Absolutely! Both our Discover Fly Fishing events and Fly Fishing Schools are open to everyone. We hope you'll decide to join after experiencing everything the club has to offer.
Each year we host schools at locations including Schramm Education Center, Ponca State Park, and Chadron State Park. We also partner with Nebraska Game and Parks to offer Discover Fly Fishing events throughout the state.
