Fly of the Month Contest

How the Fly of the Month Contest Works

Each month, Cornhusker Fly Fishers members put their fly-tying skills to the test by tying a featured fly pattern. During our monthly club meeting, all entries are displayed for members to admire — and vote on their favorite creation.

Here’s how to join the fun:

  1. Tie the designated fly pattern for the month.
  2. Bring your completed fly to the next club meeting.
  3. Members cast their votes for their favorite fly.
  4. Monthly winners are recognized and earn points toward the Fly of the Year title.

At the end of the year, the member with the highest total points is crowned the Cornhusker Fly Fishers “Fly of the Year” Champion!
